Flea Circus In Your Home? What You Need To Do

A circus of fleas in your home is not something you want to have to deal with. Fleas are biting pests that can leave you with itchy bumps all over your entire body. You can end up carrying these pests to other's homes and to other people as well. If you have a flea problem that is this bad, you need to hire a professional pest control company to help you get rid of this issue. If you just have a minor issue, you may be able to handle this problem yourself. Read on for a few tips that can help you.

Take Pets Out

Your pets need to get out of the house for a few hours so you can deal with this issue without them. If you have pets, take them to your veterinarian or to a groomer for a flea bath. While they are having their fleas removed properly, you can begin working on getting them out of your home. If your pets have fleas on them, you could continue to have an issue unless you get rid of the ones on your pets as well.

Set Off A Flea Bomb

As much as you probably want to bomb your house, this isn't really a good idea. Use a flea bomb, though, to help kill off these pests instead. A flea bomb will spray your entire house with a pesticide fog that will kill these pests, as well as other pests that you may have, such as ants, roaches, and spiders. When this is being done, nobody should be in your home, and no pets of any kind should be inside. If you have more than one floor in your home, you should use one on every floor, including basements.

Clean Everything

After a flea bomb has been used, you should clean everything thoroughly. Wipe down all counters and cooking/food prep areas. Vacuum floors, dust, and clean all bedding in your home. After you have vacuumed, empty the canister outside in case there are any living fleas that made it through the fog. Continue to clean like this for at least a week or two afterward to be sure you have gotten rid of these pests for good.

If you have a flea circus in your home, get rid of them. Hire professional flea removal to help you with this task, and be rid of the fleas for good.
